These terms are subject to change and Finegear will inform you of the updates each time your accepting of them is required. Please make sure to read them below in their entirety.

Payment

PayPal and direct bank transfer are currently the only acceptable methods of payment.

For Direct Bank Transfer, make your payment directly into our bank account. Please use your Order ID as the payment reference. Your order won’t be shipped until the funds have cleared in our account.

Any quotation is valid for a maximum period of 30 days from its date unless we expressly withdraw it at an earlier time. If no money has reached our account within 30 days, the order will be terminated. All goods remain the property of Finegear until paid for in full.

Prices

Prices are set în euros.

Prices may be subject to change without notice, depending on the supply and prices of our suppliers. We do our best to give precise information on our website, however în the event of an error on our part regarding prices, we reserve the option to either honor the incorrect price, or to inform the client of the error and ask for confirmation on the new price.

Prices for countries which are a part of the European Community (EC) include French VAT as required by law. Companies inside the EC but outside France with an EC VAT-number can state this number to have the VAT removed from the total price. Orders outside the European Community do not have any sales tax added.

Shipment

Direct orders are normally shipped within a maximum 30 days after we receive the payment, unless otherwise agreed upon.

We reserve the right to delay shipments a few days due to unexpected inconveniences, unexpected stock shortage or heavy workload. If the order contains pre-order items, the order will be shipped when all items are in stock.

The tax authorities of countries outside EU sometimes add sales/import tax. If you are unsure of the regulations for your country, please check with the relevant public authority. If you refuse to pay these fees upon delivery of the package, the parcel will be returned. Upon receipt, we will refund the product (minus shipping charges).

Warranty

Finegear sells either mounted or unmounted (DIY kits) products. A three-year limited warranty, starting from the date of the original purchase, applies to mounted machines only.

If the product should need repair during the warranty period, no charges will be applied for parts or labor. This warranty is transferable to other owners should the Finegear product be resold during the warranty period.

All Unmounted DIY kits are checked before shipping. If you receive a damaged part, please contact us. If the part is damaged and shows no signs of use beyond what was needed to asses that it was damaged, we will send you a replacement part immediately.

If a part is missing from your kit please contact us. We will send a replacement immediately at our expense.

If you damage a part during building, contact us to find a solution.

This warranty does not cover

  1. damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from accident, negligence, misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation or failure to follow instructions according to the User Manual for this product; any shipment of the product (claims must be presented to the carrier); repair or attempted repair by anyone other than Finegear
  2. any unit which has been altered;
  3. units powered using another power supply other than the ones sold by Finegear in our online shop.
  4. normal wear and any periodic maintenance;
  5. deterioration due to perspiration, corrosive atmosphere or other external causes such as extremes in temperature or humidity;
  6. damages attributable to power line surge or related electrical abnormalities, lightning damage or Acts of God; or
  7. RFI/EMI (interference/noise) caused by improper grounding or the improper use of either certified or uncertified equipment.

Warranty service procedure for products bought from the Finegear Online Shop

Contact us at www.finegear.net/contact-us if you need warranty service. You cannot send a unit for service unless agreed to by Finegear.

The customer is responsible for shipping charges if the products needs to be shipped to Finegear for warranty service. Finegear covers the return shipping to the customer during the warranty period. Should the unit be dead on arrival, or if the hardware malfunctions within 14 days of the original purchase date, Finegear will cover the shipping.

Return policy

Finegear offers a 14-day money back guarantee for all physical items sold directly by us. The 14 days are counted from the arrival of the item.

Mounted products have to be in “as new” condition for us to accept refunding.

Unmounted DIY Kits qualify for returns only if no parts have been bent and/or soldered (completely or partially built kits will not be accepted). Incomplete kits will not be refunded.

All returns must be in the original packaging.

You cannot return an item without contacting Finegear first. The customer covers the shipping back to Finegear. A copy of the original invoice or receipt must be supplied along with the item. The refund is will be completed once we have received and inspected the returned item.

Cancellation policy

Paid orders can be canceled and refunded if the order has not been shipped. If the order has been shipped, the Return policy applies.

Privacy policy

Finegear complies with the EU-wide General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We store the bare minimum of personal data needed to fulfill our duties to our customers, such as handling orders, support and service of products. We encourage you to read and digest the Finegear Privacy Policy in its entirety.

Complaints

We try to avoid any dispute, so we deal with complaints as follows: If a dispute occurs customers should contact us directly at contact@finegear.net. We aim to respond with an appropriate solution within 5 business days.
